Al Yamamah Steel CEO resigns, to return one month after resignation date

Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co.'s board of directors approved today, Oct. 15, the resignation of CEO Yousef Saeed Mohammed Bazaid after reaching the legal age of retirement.

 

The company said in a bourse filing that it has agreed with Bazaid to return to work after the cut off period within a month effective date of the resignation, i.e. Oct. 29, 2020.

 

Meanwhile, the board of directors appointed Sahal Mekdar Al Thobiti as CEO for the cut off period.

 

He is currently the chief operating officer and has been working with the company for the past 17 years.

 

Al Thobiti holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and accounting, and a master's degree in business administration from King Abdulaziz University.
