Herfy says preliminary court ruling dismisses SAR 37.6 mln lawsuit filed by former executive

Herfy Food Services Co. (Herfy Food) announced that a preliminary court ruling was issued dismissing the labor case filed against it by former managing director Ahmed Hamad Al-Saeed before the Labor Court in Riyadh, according to a bourse filing.

 

The lawsuit is regarding the plaintiff’s claim to pay SAR 37.6 million at the labor court, including vacation leave balance for 40 years ago and end of service benefits.

 

The judgment issued is preliminary and is subject to appeal, the company said.

 

Herfy announced the developments of the case, in addition to the clarification contained in the financial statements and the auditor’s report on its results for the third quarter of 2021, as well as in response to news circulated by some news websites and social networking sites.
