Saudi Chemical starts manufacture, sale of ‘Panadol Extra’

Saudi Chemical Holding Co. (SCCH) through its pharmaceutical sector, represented by AJA Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (AJA Pharma), started the initial manufacturing steps towards commercializing “Panadol Extra”, one of Haleon (GSK consumer healthcare) products.

 

The step consists of secondary packaging of the product at AJA Pharma manufacturing site, the company said in a statement on Tadawul, noting that the product is now available in the market.

 

The financial impact of the move will reflect on AJA Pharma’s Q4 2022 results, the statement added.

 

In June 2021, SCCH signed an agreement with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Saudi Ltd. to manufacture pharmaceutical products at AJA Pharma factory in Saudi Arabia, according to data compiled by Argaam.
