Amiantit says Zakat claim reconsideration request rejected

Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. announced that it received the reconsideration decision from the First Appeals Chamber for Income Tax Interventions and Disputes via email from the General Secretariat of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) on Sept. 17, accepting the reconsideration in form and rejecting it in substance.

 

The company said in a statement on Tadawul that it will announce the financial impact later.

 

On Aug. 5, Amiantit received a claim notification from ZATCA to pay the dues for the years from 2015 to 2018 at a total value of SAR 219.76 million, Argaam earlier reported.
