Scientific & Medical Equipment House Co. (Equipment House) said that the ruling in favor of its wholly owned subsidiary, Roaa Al Hymaya Co. (Protecta Visions), in the lawsuit filed against National Unified Procurement Co. (NUPCO), was affirmed by the court on Oct. 11.

In a statement to Tadawul, Equipment House pointed out that the ruling obliges NUPCO to pay SAR 60.6 million to Protecta Visions, in addition to SAR 135,000 for expert fees and SAR 500,000 for litigation and attorney fees.

Equipment House noted that it is waiting for the final judgment in this case, however, it is currently difficult to expect the date.

Any material developments will be disclosed in due course, the statement added, noting that the financial impact will be announced later.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Equipment House announced in August that a preliminary ruling was issued by Riyadh’s Commercial Court in favor of Protecta Visions in the lawsuit filed against NUPCO.
