Local, global companies vie for Jeddah Tower tender

Local and international companies have expressed interest to participate in the tender for the contract to complete the Jeddah Tower project, Al Watan newspaper reported. 

 

South Korea's Daewoo Co. and Egypt's Orascom Construction PLC are leading the pack of contenders.

 

In September, MEED Projects reported that Jeddah Economic Company Ltd. (JEC) had resumed work on the Jeddah Tower project, which will be over 1,000 meters tall, according to data available on Argaam.

 

The Jeddah Tower project is part of the Jeddah Economic City, a five-million-square-meter development owned by JEC.
