Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) won the project of establishing, operating, and maintaining outdoor advertising billboards in Riyadh, offered by Remat Al-Riyadh Development Co., the development arm of the Riyadh Municipality.

Remat Al-Riyadh is responsible for managing the outdoor advertising portfolio in order to invest in specific sites within Riyadh for the establishment of various advertising mediums, the company said in a statement to Tadawul

This project includes all forms of outdoor advertising on municipal sites for 10 years, based on a revenue-sharingmodel. The contract value will be announced upon signing of the deal. There are no related parties to the contract.

The tendering of the project was through a consortium between Al Arabia and the Saudi Company for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), which is owned by the Public Investment Fund. The consortium was led by Al Arabia, with SCAI providing the latest artificial intelligence solutions and sustainable technologies.

These digital solutions and the groundbreaking transformation driven by smart data utilization will keep advertising revenues within the local market with smart digital features and capabilities, the company said. The digitization rate in this project is 100%.

Al Arabia said the total number of billboards is 1,325 across various types and mediums. The total advertising area is estimated at 25,700 square meters, with the ability to increase and modify the number of billboards and sites to reach 3,000, doubling the advertising space.

To enhance and facilitate data collection and expand the database size, all billboards in the project will be equipped with data collection technologies. The collected data will be shared with SCAI, while adhering to regulations and instructions and ensuring the privacy of the data.

The advertising sites contain four digital zones, where Al Arabia will undertake the design, development and operation of these zones to transform them into one of the prominent landmarks of Riyadh, in accordance with the agreed specifications.

Each of these zones will encompass a range of digital billboards distributed across a cluster of buildings to form a network of screens displaying fixed or animated advertisements throughout the day. The total size of the screens will be at least 400 square meters.

More details will be released on the signing of the contract, Al Arabia said.
