Shares of Saudi Investment Recycling Co. (SIRC) and SAIL will be floated soon, said Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli.
He told the Environmental Investment Forum on May 5 that the agricultural sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) will likely grow by 10%, adding that its contribution to the GDP is estimated at SAR 100 billion, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.
There are 50 fish farms currently available for investment, compared to more than 90 sites previously, Al-Fadhli said.
He stressed that the environmental sector provides several investment opportunities in various fields such as natural reserves and national parks, as well as waste treatment and conversion of waste into energy or recycled products.
