MOBILY: THE FINANCIAL EFFECT OF TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING NEW PREPAID SALES IS VERY LIMITED

Reference to the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) decision, temporarily suspending the sales of new prepaid SIMs by Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) as of 10 Muharram 1434 AH (24 November 2012) until the Company fully meets the prepaid service provisioning requirements, including the CITC decision that links prepaid SIM re-charge to the customers ID number, Mobily would like to clarify that the financial impact of such decision will be insignificant, especially that the revenue drivers and growth areas for Mobily are the data, corporate and postpaid revenues.
