Southern Province Cement inks deal to expand Jazan power station

HH prince Abdullah bin Mosa'ad bin Abdulrahman Al- Saud, the chairman of Southern Province Cement Company, in the presence of the directors, has signed a contract with the deputed director of Wartsilla Power Contracting Company of Finland for the execution of the expansion of the power station in Jazan plant by adding four diesel units, operated by heavy fuel oil, with a total capacity of 32 megawatts. The contract was signed on 13.9.1433h corresponding to 1.8.2012.

The value of the contract is EURO 20,250,000 equaling to SR 96 million for the execution of the expansion of the power station. The contract period is 12 months from the date of signing the contract. The project shall be self-financed.
