Saudi Electricity signed three contracts with a total value of SAR 1.2 billion to install a new transformer station in Riyadh, and connect Al-Ahsa’s central station with the national grid, the company said in a statement.

The first contract provides for the building of a transformer station in southern Al-Sinaya in Riyadh, said Chief Executive Officer Ziyad Al-Shiha.

The second contract, he added, includes connecting Al-Ahsa transformer station in the northern region with the public grid with 115-kilovolt ground cables.

The third covers the installation of connection cables linking the stations of middle, northern and eastern Al-Madinah to enhance the service in the western region.
