Nama Chemicals: losses of caustic soda prills’ fire estimated at SAR 11m

Nama Chemicals Company said that the fire broke out into the caustic soda prills unit of its affiliate, Arabian Alkali Company (SODA), has a financial impact of SAR 11m that will be reflected on Q4-2014’s financials.
 

The losses are covered by an insurance policy and the company expects the unit to come back to work on January 5th, 2015; the company said in a filing to Tadawul.


According to Argaam; Nama Chemicals announced, in November, a limited fire incident in the caustic soda prills unit of its affiliate, Arabian Alkali Co. (SODA), located in Jubail Industrial City.
