Petro Rabigh restarts hydrogen unit; expects SAR 69 mln impact after repairs

14/06/2015 Argaam

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) said it expects a SAR 69 million financial impact following the restart of its hydrogen production unit (HPU) on Friday, which had been shut down for unscheduled maintenance since May 29.

Petro Rabigh said the impact will be recorded in second quarter results.

Production at the HPU had been halted due to a leakage in one of its pipelines. The company had initially planned to resume operations on June 9, before extending the shutdown by four days in order conduct additional repairs.
