Southern Cement starts trial ops at Tahama’s third line

Southern Province Cement Company launched on Monday the trial operations of the third production line at its Tahama plant, the company said in a filing to Saudi Arabia’s bourse.

 

Output will increase gradually until it reaches full capacity of 5,000 tons a day. The company said it expects the line to go on stream around late July .

 

The cement maker signed a SAR 707 million contract in May 2012 with Sonoma International Co. to build the new line at its Tahama plant
