Advanced says South Korea propylene plant starts trial ops

15/03/2016 Argaam

Advanced Petrochemical Company’s PDH Plant in South Korea (SK Advanced Ltd), which produces propylene, has started trial production on Tuesday, the company said in a bourse statement.

The plant will still be subject to performance tests, and it will take one to three months to monitor its ability to operate on a commercial basis.

Financial impact will start when the plant launches commercial operations in the second quarter of 2016, the company added.

In September 2014, Advanced announced that its 95 percent owned Advanced Global Investment Company (AGIC) had inked a joint venture agreement with SK Gas Co. Ltd. to establish SK Advanced in the Korean city of Ulsan for the production of propylene.
