Saudi Kayan to shutdown LDPE unit for maintenance in March

07/02/2018 Argaam

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co. is planning a 15-day stoppage of its low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant for scheduled maintenance in March, Platts reported on Wednesday, citing an unnamed company source with knowledge of the matter.

The planned shutdown is unlikely to cause supply disruptions to the company’s customers.

Operations at the plant, which is located in Jubail complex and has an annual production capacity of 300,000 metric tons, are running smoothly to date.
