Southern Cement starts production on Tihama plant's third line

Southern Province Cement Co. (Southern Cement) has announced that the third line at Tihama cement plant has come on line with a capacity of 5,000 tons of clinker per day.

The line will boost the plant’s production capacity to 15,000 tons of clinker  per day, the cement producer said in a statement on Tadawul.

The new addition will also  bring the company's total production capacity to 28,000 tons of clinker per day.

The relevant financial impact will be reflected on Q4-2015 results, the statement added.
