SABIC’s 50 percent owned subsidiary, the Eastern Petrochemical Co. (SHARQ), may halt operations for 12 days in March for regular maintenance, Platts Commodities Bulletin reported.

The facility, with an annual production capacity of 1.55 million metric tons, comprises two production lines that produce high- and low-density polyethylene.

The company is a 50-50 joint venture between SABIC and Japan's SPDC.
