GACA fines violators of Civil Aviation Law SAR 5.30M

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) imposed SAR 5.30 million fines on entities and individuals that violate the Civil Aviation Law, executive regulations, and instructions issued by the authority.

 

In its Q1 2024 report, GACA said that this came through decisions issued by the Committee for Considering Violations of the Provisions of the Civil Aviation Law, indicating that the number of decisions issued by the committee reached 185.

 

A total of 111 violations were issued against airlines for non-compliance with the authority's instructions regarding the pre-registration system for passengers and failure to comply with time slots, with a total fine of SAR 3.65 million. Additionally, 31 violations were detected against airlines for violating the executive regulations protecting the rights of customers, resulting in fines totaling SAR 1.31 million.
