SADARA participates in building the world’s largest Butanol plant

The Saudi Butanol Company SaBuCo completed its official registration procedures at the Ministry of commerce and Industry.

 

The new company is to build the world’s largest and middle east’s first butanol plant in Jubail industrial city at SAR 1.94bn.

 

The plant will have an annual capacity of 330,000 tons of n-butanol, 11000 tons of Isobutanol and is expected to begin trial operations in 2015.

 

 The project is a joint venture between Kayan (SABIC affiliated co.), SADARA (ARAMCO and Dow JV) and SAC (Tasnee and Sahara JV).
